So said Kaa in the Jungle Book, however for most of us it takes a bit more than staring into a snake's eyes to make us really trust someone.
It's a topic that comes up in every leadership book you'll read, it's critical if you want to drive successful change or achieve difficult things with your team. It can come with authority positions, we trust those with qualifications and training, or it can be built through experience of an individual and their actions. It can be incredibly fragile and something you have to work hard to earn but can also be incredibly powerful once built.
